PTFE Tape for Clesana C1 and X1

For consistently clean welds  

The PTFE tape is one of the wear parts of the Clesana C1 and serves an important function: It lies over the welding wire and prevents hot polymer from adhering to the welding jaws during the welding process. 

According to Clesana, the non-stick properties of PTFE—better known as Teflon—begin to wear off after approximately 1,750 welds. To maintain the quality of the welds, the tapes should be replaced.

Replacing the part in a timely manner also helps protect the Clesana's welding mechanism.

The switch is straightforward and takes just a few minutes.

Good to Know  

Many poor-quality welds are attributed to the film. In fact, the cause is often a worn-out PTFE tape. Replacing it in a timely manner usually resolves the problem immediately.
